Rosa Rubrifolia (Red Leaved Rose)- A very graceful plant with upright arcs of branches. The leaves are purple/grey turning to a mix of golds in the autumn. During the summer months, it produces clusters of cerise pink flowers, often with white centres. The flowers are followed by red hips in the autumn and its bare stems are a deep purple and only slightly thorny. Overall the red leaved rose is idea for creating a dense fast-growing hedge that produces a mix of year round colour.
Fruit: Its produces red hips in the autumn which are enjoyed by birds and small mammals.
Soil Types/Habitat: Will grow in most soils as long as they are well draining. Can tolerate most habitats.
