A medium sized tree which is best planted as a specimen in grassy parks. Coarsely toothed leaves with a green top side and grey underside are produced on this compact, rounded tree. In spring, small white flowers are produced followed by bundles of rounded orange-red berries in autumn. Swedish Whitebeam is a valuable, winter hardy tree for wind breakers, which is undemanding, even thriving on sandy and dry soils.
